Your new role
The main responsibility of the Application Engineer is to create new and maintain existing business by proposing solutions and driving projects based on customers’ needs from a technical perspective. This involves a high level of technical expertise on an application, system, and product level. This person will work in Field Sales department and report to the Application Engineering Manager. The position is located in Ballerup and there will be around 20-30 days of travel a year.
The main work tasks and key responsibilities are:
• Initiate new projects and lead prioritized customer projects
• Work on design projects for customized equipment for a customer
• Cooperate with account managers and other application engineers and resources to generate growth
• Create technical solutions and be the point of contact for the customer
• Support sales/ customers with technical expertise and documentation around product/system function and performance
• Make configurations on our existing products as well as review and approve of other established configurations
• Actively suggest ideas for new products or services
• Submit reports and complete required actions on time and to the required standard
What you'll need to succeed
• University degree and work experience within relevant area (like Hydraulic and Mechatronics)
• Can create new and maintain business by providing design proposals within your technologies
• Provide premier customer experience through network/relationship building
• Experience in control system (high-level programming) and understanding of sizing electrical motors
• Able to think strategically whilst managing practical day to day operating issues
• Strong team player and able to work across the organization.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work on tight deadlines
• Ability to travel (around 1-2 days/week)
• IT skills - CAD, AMEsim (simulation)
• Knowledge of the Nordic market
