The Senior User Experience (UX) designer role will be accountable for collaborating with key leaders deliver the roadmap for UX in Logistics and Services (L&S). You will also have End-to-end responsibility, delivery and value realization of Maersk’s UX vision & mission
Responsibilities include:
• Design the experience, visual style, user interface, information architecture, and interaction flows
• Contribute to the design of desirable products and user interfaces
• Create personas, customer journey maps, wireframes, proof-of-concepts
• Lead, mentor, and inspire your peer designers and raise the Design IQ of the team
• Drive design projects through all phases, from user research and exploratory mockups to design reviews, delivery, and usability testing.
• Collaborate in an open source model to develop and maintain a design system that spans multiple products and communicate those to developers and product managers.
• Measure the impact of research and recommendations data, industry best practices, and measurement tools of your own creation.
• Develop deep understanding and empathy for our customers and internal staff
• Work with cross-functional groups spanning design, product, engineering, and management.
• Solicit and accept feedback, establish and articulate priorities and take part in high candor debates
This role will require:
• An experienced design leader, passionate about human centered design that targets simplifying complicated and painful processes
• A passion for uncovering customer wants and needs and translating them into highly differentiated solutions and capabilities.
• The skills to work collaboratively with leaders, peers and juniors to deliver products that are intuitive, understandable, and a joy to use.
Competencies:
• Design thinking: Embrace design thinking and creative problem-solving
• User research: User needs/insights translation to journey maps, run tests and learn from real people to iterate or pivot
• Interaction design: Proficient prototype - from low-fidelity to clickable mock-ups with animations and transitions that simulate the end product. You create flow diagrams, know your interaction patterns, and are well-versed with accessibility & usability
• Working with developers: Familiar with and have experience with agile development methods. You embrace the transition from dead pixels to a product that can be used by end-users
• Project design: Eager to pitch in and help win new projects and clients. Familiar with how to best design a project and process to create relevant output and outcomes
• Facilitation: Facilitate workshops, design sprints, presentations, and meetings
• Value proposition: Create value proposition statements, value proposition canvas, and know how to formulate and work with hypotheses.
• Business design: Understand our customer business and ecosystem.
• Personality: Inclusive, curious, motivated, team-oriented, demonstrate leadership, take initiatives, and create relationships
• Experience: 5+ years of experience from a similar role and responsibilities and relevant education
