By joining Maersk, you will embark on a great journey with career development in a global organisation. As a Visual Designer you will be responsible for creating the look and feel of our products by combining your design skills with a knowledge of user centered design and new technology. Through your work you will gain broad business knowledge of the company’s activities globally, as well as understand how the complexity of IT supports the transport and logistics business.
You will be exposed to a wide and challenging range of business issues through regular engagement with key stakeholders across all management levels within Maersk.
You will work and communicate across geographical and cultural borders that will enable you to build a strong professional network.
You will work in the development unit of the Service Delivery Platform which serves as the backbone of Maersk Ocean Operations. We develop the business-critical tools to support our internal users in their daily jobs maintaining the network of more than 700 vessels. The applications we develop balance rich datasets with integrations of systems to provide operators the full overview of cargo and vessel capacity so that they in turn can provide our customers with the best experience. To continue our journey we need a visual designer to help create intuitive interfaces.

As a Visual Designer you will be part of the Service Delivery Platform’s Design team where you’ll join a group of UX’ers. As a team we value frequent collaboration, and knowledge sharing is central to our ways of working.
You will design UIs that users love and play a key role in differentiating our products. You will work closely with a global team of designers, developers and others, as well as colleagues in our design community of practice and the broader Technology organization
In short, we are looking for someone who wants to:
• Create visual design for concepts and products
• Collaborate with UX designers on creating detailed UI designs
• Create new assets (icons, components, etc) in collaboration with brand and design system team
• Support our UI developers on implementation of designs
• Work with our Design System team to ensure consistency and alignment
• Be able to shape the design approach appropriately for the context at hand
• Confidently and defensibly be able to present your direction
• Believe in an evidence-based, continuous improvement culture
• Work independently with stakeholders while liaising and reviewing with fellow designers

We imagine you have the following qualifications:
• MA/MSc in Digital Design or similar
• A collaborative mindset, open to feedback
• Fluency in the English language, both verbal and in writing
• Practical awareness of creating accessible designs
• Experience working in complex organizations is a plus
• Ability to build strong relationships and recognises and incorporates the perspectives of others.
• Experience working in an agile development process and/or Iterative environment – and an environment that is undergoing large change.
• Experience working with enterprise applications is a plus
• Our primary tool is Figma but experience with the Adobe product suite is a plus
