Senior Front Engineer with a strong focus on front-end as well as a good foundation on the back-end development. This position would be for the Experimentation Platform at Maersk.Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Front Engineer who is technically proficient in the relevant front end stack but has a good understanding and experience in working or integrating with Back end services as well.The ideal candidate will have extensive experience and proficiency in modern TypeScript/JavaScript frameworks, particularly Vue.js 3, and be adept with testing frameworks such as Vitest, Jest, Cypress, and Playwright. While the primary focus is on front-end development, the candidate should also have a solid understanding of backend development using Java and the Spring stack to effectively review and suggest coding solutions. This role demands a proven ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions, design robust systems, mentor junior developers, and collaborate effectively as a team player.
Responsibilities
- Write and maintain secure, robust, scalable, and fault-tolerant code.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to deliver great experiences through our applications.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions and system designs.
- Set and ensure high software development and code quality standards in the team.
- Mentor team’s developers and provide guidance on best practices.
- Conduct code and PR reviews for the team deliverables.
- Understand, review, and suggest coding solutions for backend services using Java and Spring stack.
- Integrate front-end components with backend services seamlessly.
- Ensure the application’s performance, quality, and responsiveness.
- Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing systems.
Required Qualifications
- Highly experienced in front-end development with proven expertise.
- Highly skilled in modern JavaScript ES6+.
- Proficient in TypeScript.
- Highly skilled in one or more JavaScript frameworks, preferably Vue.js 3.
- Experience in developing and maintaining large web applications.
- Experience in developing, publishing, and maintaining npm packages.
- Practical know-how of working with Git and pull request principles.
- Experienced in test-driven development good practices and tools (Vitest/Jest, Cypress/Playwright).
- Practical knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions or similar platforms).
- Proficiency in understanding and reviewing backend development using Java and Spring stack.
- Strong system design skills and experience in designing scalable, robust systems.
- Fluent in English (speaking, reading, and writing).
- Proactive, transparent, good communicator, and collaborator.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with RESTful API design and development.
- Preferably has development experience (or willing to learn and develop) with Google Tag Manager.
- Knowledge of database management and SQL (Postgres, Cosmos etc.)
- Strong familiarity with cloud services and deployments. (Azure/GCP)
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
