About the job


We at Saxo Bank have great ambitions to democratize trading and investing across the globe and are scaling up our development teams in Copenhagen. Your role will be to work as a senior front-end developer on the Saxo Design System using the latest JavaScript technologies such as React, Redux, React Native and Electron.

You will work closely with product managers, UX designers and fellow front and backend developers, to build a component library that meets the needs of the organisation, following the principles of Atomic Design. Frontend developers at Saxo break down user journeys and UI designs into quickly releasable features using continuous integration / continuous delivery, that are covered by a Cypress test suite.

Your profile


Required skills

General experience

  • 3+ years within software development teams
  • Prior business knowledge or willingness to learn quickly about the financial industry, preferably electronic trading

Technology

  • Passion for front end development
  • Experience with modern frameworks such as React and Redux
  • Familiarity with mobile first development and responsive design
  • Experience with CSS pre-processors and modern styling frameworks

People and processes

  • Creative self-starter with great team and cross-group collaboration skills
  • Experience creating documentation and well-commented code
  • Experience developing products in an agile way, actively working with the business refining requirements, proposing solutions and validating the results
  • You have a great team spirit and a positive attitude

Desirable Skills

Technology

  • Experience in mobile/tablet/desktop development, across multiple platforms (Win/OSX/iOS/Android)
  • Experience with complex JavaScript applications
  • Experience Styled Components and new trends in CSS styling
  • Experience with Cypress, Webpack / Babel

General experience

  • Active in the community through open source, conferences and social media
