Are you the Software Developer or Data Engineer that will support our application development team at Novo Nordisk A/S? And are you motivated by patiently and strategically tackling potential code bugs or issues and establishing data-flow automation to boost traditional scientific data analysis? Then join us in an internship as Application Developer in Drug Product Development (DPDev).
About the department
DPDev is part of Novo Nordisk’s Research & Development (R&D) family and acts as a link between the research unit and the production, spanning from early development to phase 3 clinical trials and registration. Our ambition is to improve our patients’ lives by developing the world finest drug substance and injectable drug products.
The internship is anchored in the team Data science, Automation & Software, where we focus on bridging life science research and computer science by developing, implementing and operating software applications. The team consists of highly skilled subject matter experts with different scientific backgrounds, ranging from formulation specialists and data scientists to analytical experts and automation engineers. And they need you, an entrepreneurial minded data architect to establish the framework for our success.
The position
As Application Developer intern, you will:
- support our group of developers in testing and tackling potential bugs or issue in our code.
- work closely with data scientists and application developers in developing software applications for optimal data driven decisions.
- be engaged in data visualization.
- be integral in developing scalable database technologies.
Qualifications and skills
You are currently studying within the field of computer science, software engineering or Business intelligence, preferably your Master. You have an analytical and logical mindset and a talent for communicating your points and visions.
Ideally, you have:
- Programming skills in e.g. MATLAB, C#, SQL or similar languages
- Experience establishing and working with databases and knowledge of SQL and non-relational databases
- Experience with front-end visualization development in software packages or dashboards e.g. MATLAB, Shiny, Spotfire, Power BI or Tableau
