Software Test Engineer
We are looking for a software Test Engineer with a strong technical background and a relevant education within IT for Concordium in Aarhus
For our client Concordium, we are looking for a Software Test Engineer to fill this new position in their highly qualified Tech team in Aarhus, Denmark.
Concordium is a software company developing blockchain-based solutions for enterprises. Concordium is deeply rooted in science and the Tech team works closely with COBRA at Aarhus University and ETH Zurich. It is the first blockchain with identification built into the protocol to meet regulatory requirements while delivering a user-friendly platform that can handle smart contracts.
Your role and responsibilities
The Tech team in Aarhus implements the next-generation blockchain technology (including networking, implementation of a smart contract language, and cryptographic primitives and protocols) as well as related tooling such as crypto wallets and various dashboards. These systems are often complex and very technical.
As a Software Test Engineer you will be involved in the full development cycle from reviewing requirements to continuous testing during feature development and system testing of final releases. Also, you will participate in business and customer support. It is very important that you are proactive and work well together with developers, architects and tech managers as well as with the business side of Concordium.
We also expect your proactive involvement in establishing and improving the test processes as well as the test infrastructure. Since Concordium is (still) a start-up, you will have the unique opportunity to shape their test processes and terminology as well as the general way they work together.
It is a challenging job in an international environment with highly educated and skilled colleagues. Being part of the Tech team, you will work closely together with developers, other testers and managers on a daily basis, but you will also regularly work with scientists, supporters, marketing and product management.
About you
You have som years of experience as a software Test Engineer. You have a strong technical background and a relevant education within IT.
Qualifications

- Detailed oriented
- Good cooperation and communication skills
- Relevant test experience from previous work
- Relevant education within IT
- Solid technical understanding
- ISTQB foundation level or similar
- Experience in task and bug tracking with e.g. Jira or github
- English and Danish
Furthermore, it is an advantage if you have
- A good understanding of blockchain, related tooling and crypto
- Experience with support duties
- Experience with open-source software development

The network will eventually be fully decentralized, the code open source, and further development orchestrated through an advanced governance mechanism.
Blockchain technology
Blockchain technology is one of the most important innovations in recent times. The technology will rationalize financial systems and support user-owned platforms, provenance, and rights registration. However, the technology needs to mature in respect to safety, accountability, and usability before mainstream business will start building true infrastructure on blockchains. Concordium will provide this mature blockchain technology to the world.
