Test and Verification department within Vestas Wind Systems A/S plays an important role towards verification of new prototype components and systems. To optimize testing, we bring field conditions into our test center to expose them to functional, performance and reliability testing.
Our facility is world leading within testing of turbine main components and includes 10 test rigs with the capability to test components or systems as part of the turbine up to 20MW.
You will be joining a very homogenous department that consist of 30 engineers and turbine technicians that have high focus on team development. Joining this team, you will also have the possibility to work among many different tasks, projects and assignments that will challenge your daily work; each day is never the same.
The team is responsible to plan, implement, verify and to trouble shoot on generator, converter, and gearbox test activities.
But also, you will have an important role in design of test rigs and prototype components as part of requirement specifications, test procedures and reporting.

Responsibilities
Your primary responsibilities will be to:
- Lead execution of powertrain test at LORC with LORC test team
- Plan/prepare tests in co-operation with Project managers and designers
- Work close with project management, design teams and internal specialists to ensure [alignment/quality/cost/time/knowledge sharing]
- Lead development of new test setups for verification of Vestas powertrains.
Qualifications
- You hold a Bachelor or master’s degree in engineering (marine, electrical, mechanical, or similar.).
- Experience within wind turbine operation, powertrains and automation would be desirable
- Practical and theoretical understanding of powertrains, automation, mechanical components, and measurement systems
- Experience with data analysis
