Roskilde

Are you eager to be a part of something bigger? Ready to be professionally ambitious together with others? Then we might have the right opportunity for you.

We are looking for a UX designer ready to share and grow
Would you like to help set the direction for the design of future self-service solutions in banks? Are you full of good ideas and can you combine them with the needs of the financial institutions and their customers? Do you – like us – think that agile development is the only right thing?

We are looking for a UX designer for our design team in Roskilde which participates in the development of online and mobile banking solutions across all business areas in BEC such as investment, pension, housing and daily finances. The design team is part of the Investment & Trade initiative with four agile teams that develop online and mobile banking solutions for the banks.

As a UX, you must help convey the needs of the financial institutions for concrete solutions across channels. You must be the key person in the field between business and end user and solve the UX tasks in close cooperation with development teams, financial institutions, BEC customers – banks, end users and UX and design colleagues in the UX team.

Primary task and responsibilities
In the position as UX designer, you will work closely with developers, business analysts and stakeholders on projects, and at the same time spar with your colleagues in the UX team. Your primary tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • You work daily with both native and responsive web development from the first concepts to development and final testing of the solution
  • You listen, argue, draw wireframes, prototypes, and more detailed UI design, present, test and document solutions
  • You often have several tasks in progress – perhaps a new flow in Investment and a user test in the Housing area
  • You organize and carry out user tests, collect insights and feedback and prepare recommendations
  • Contributes to the continuous further development of our design system
  • Actively participates in design reviews - both alone and together with other UX’ers

We are looking for you who love to explore and learn!
Preferably, you have an educational background such as a master's degree in IT focusing on UX, service design and business or another equivalent, relevant, theoretical background. You have at least 2-3 years of experience from a similar position - preferably where you have worked with more complex IT systems.

To us, curiosity is essential, and at BEC you'll join a community of helpful, ambitious, and tech-savvy people who love to explore and grow. We ensure that banks can comply with the legislation such as reporting requirements, providing solutions for individual banks as well as the entire community of BEC banks.

As a person, we expect you to identify with the following:

  • You have an analytical mindset and profile - driven by understanding complex requirements and translating them into simple solutions
  • You have experience in working with the design of larger, heavy systems – e.g., case processing systems, complex self-service solutions and the like
  • You are well-organized, independent and have the courage to run your own projects
  • You thrive in a team where collaboration, sparring and continuous feedback are paramount
  • You can work within the framework of a design system and function well in following overall design principles while keeping an eye out for where the extra little 'dispute' is necessary
  • You would very much like to have experience with Figma or similar
  • Experience with accessibility is a plus
  • Experience with or desire to embrace the challenges of channel agnostic/hybrid app development is also a plus

With colleagues in teams distributed in Denmark and Poland, you must master English at a high level both in writing and orally. As customers and end users are Danish it is also a requirement to master Danish at a high level both in writing and orally.

Make us aware of your talent
Ready to join a culture of tech-loving people? Then we look forward to receiving your application and resume as soon as possible and no later than April 10, 2023. If you have any questions related to the position, do not hesitate to contact Susanne Jönsson, product manager on +45 61 56 20 09 or Nanna Lund, UX/UI designer on +45 46 76 38 48.

We are committed to hiring top talent regardless of race, religion, color, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, and age. As a result, we encourage all qualified candidates to apply for the position.
