In the position as Software Test Engineer, you will be a part of the System Software department, which consists of experienced and dedicated developers, testers and architects.
With direct reference to our Teamlead you will become a part of a team who are responsible for ensuring that we deliver innovative products of a high quality, and that we help our customers transform meter data into insights that will help optimize the production and distribution of energy and water worldwide. A job with focus on quality assurance through testing
In this newly established position as Software Test Engineer you will be deeply involved with identifying, implementing, and maintaining systems for test applications. You will be responsible for the development and support of our software test system and the surrounding instrumentation and interfaces. In order to create a foundation for the quality of our solutions, you will use your expertise within manual and automated tests.
Furthermore, your key responsibilities are:
To succeed in the job it is important that you have strong experience with automated testing, as we want to automate as many of our test as possible, so we can create a solid foundation for the quality of our solutions.
Personality matters
We expect you to have a professional background within software testing and at least 3 years of experience as Software Tester, Test Manager or as a Consultant working with software testing. Moreover, you have experience with test within complex systems that are composed of multiple software and hardware platforms, wireless technologies and protocols.
Furthermore, it is a requirement that you have experience with:
In addition, you hold a minimum a bachelor degree within Science, Engineering or similar. Most importantly, you have solid experience within software testing and you thrive in the field between development and test automation.
As a person you are open, outgoing and excel at communication and coordination. You place high demands on yourself and others, hence you do not compromise on the quality of your work and pride yourself in your eye for detail. Your approach to your work can be characterized as structured, systematic and analytical. As you will be testing others work, it is important you are robust and able to ensure that we deliver according to our promises to our customers.
You are fluent in English, both written and oral.

- Driving manual and automation test strategy
- Participating in projects where you are responsible for finding and implementing test requirements into the framework
- Test design, planning and execution, primarily on integration- and system level
- Risk Management
- Specification, review, follow-up and status of automated tests
- Creating additional software tools and processes to streamline testing and reporting
