We want to take charge and lead decision makers to realise current and future potential for optimisation across the entire heat/cooling value chain. Therefore, we are looking for an ambitious Application Manager, who can support Kamstrup’s ambition within this area.
With direct reference to Head of Business Development in our Heat/Cooling Division, you will become part of a growing Business Development team who is responsible for building customer and domain insight and for driving medium/long term business development. The team is in charge of identifying and maturing business opportunities in strong collaboration with our customers and partners - and for anchoring the results into the remaining organisation.
A job with focus on digitalisation and servitisation
In this newly established position, you will bring a deep knowledge and understanding of the district heating industry to ensure that Kamstrup’s solutions and services become even more relevant and address the most important pains and challenges for the industry. You will therefore have a broad contact surface within and outside the organization and you will be in close interaction with our customers to co-create new solutions and services.

Personality matters
We are looking for an experienced Application Manager, who can use one’s personal drive and experience from the industry to contribute to the continued success of Kamstrup. You know the district heating industry from the inside or have deep insights into it from being a consultant or supplier.
In addition, it is a requirement that you have:
As a person you possess strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage and engage stakeholders at all organisational levels and build long-lasting relationships. You consider yourself as being a self-starter with a strong drive and you have the ability to move and change things and turn strategy into concrete and value adding action based on facts. You have strong communication skills, which enabling you to engage and influence stakeholders. Finally your mindset is customer-oriented and you take responsibility for delivering beyond expectations to your colleagues and our customers – at both individual and team level.
You are fluent in English both written and oral. Proficiency in German will be an asset.

- Serve as customer and domain expert within district heating
- Build a level of thorough understanding of customer needs (current and emerging) and help translate those into the best possible customer solutions and value propositions
- Monitor key trends within the district heating industry and help the organisation convert those into long-term strategies and business opportunities
- Consult relevant internal stakeholders across countries and regions to refine and better translate insights obtained from customers
- Take charge of quantifying and documenting value creation from Kamstrup’s solutions and offerings (existing and new)
- Lead customer workshops and co-creation initiatives for piloting and developing new services and solutions
- Engage with key players and partners in the industry worldwide (to some extent also research) to identify future market opportunities
- Create impactful presentations summarising relevant customer insights to effectively influence key stakeholders
- Drive a customer centric mindset in the Heat/Cooling division by proactively sharing and coaching other departments in driving customer insights into all activities
- Prepare and align development roadmaps for products, solutions and services together with Product Management

- 5+ years of experience within district heating
- Proven track record working with digitalisation and service development
