About the department
You will become a part of the Regulatory Solutions Department, belonging to Research & Development IT, located in Søborg Denmark. We are a dedicated team consisting of 16 people, responsible for the implementation, development, support, maintenance and operation of Global R&D IT applications. We are all working together as part of an agile, inspiring and ambitious team. Our aim is to increase the value generation to our business stakeholders through the implementation and development of Digital Solutions. Those solutions span across many functional areas and technologies, but the central objective is to explore new ways of creating value from our vast data repositories and to automate and improve our manual work processes.
The job
As a Business Application Developer you will use your programming skills, understanding and insight in data to develop concrete solutions to support the business. The typical solution will be a web app for the users to access various data, creating insights needed for analytics. The common denominator of the solutions we develop is that they are developed in close collaboration with our business stakeholders. Furthermore, the solutions are developed in the right tool for the job and they generate business value.
You will be working with other developers, data engineers / scientists and subject matter experts in a cross-functional setting. Qualifications
We are looking for an ambitious and proactive colleague who can contribute to the team both professionally and personally. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in most of the following skills and experiences:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree within the field of Computer Science, Software Development, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or other related fields
- We imagine that you have 3-5 years of hands-on experience developing business applications and experience with data engineering
- You have strong programming skills preferably in Python and have good knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases
- Have hands-on experience with cloud-based data lake and big data technologies preferable on Amazon Web Services
- As business solutions vary in complexity you shouldn’t be scared away from working with PowerApps and Power BI
- Strong analytical mindset and a high level of statistical understanding
- Understanding of the web stack and the roles of JavaScript, CSS, and HTM
- Practical knowledge of Agile software development
