2 Test Engineers for one of the largest IT Projects in Denmark
Do you want to be part of the integration of external interfaces into one of the largest and most unique projects in Denmark influencing millions of people? And would you like to have a significant role in the Test and Commissioning team, where you can write one of the largest IT infrastructure projects in the Danish country on your CV?
Implementation of the signaling system to the railway network in Jutland – one of the largest IT projects in Denmark
Since 2012, Thales Denmark A/S has been working to upgrade the signaling system in Jutland to an IT-based signaling system in close cooperation with several parties among in a consortium with Strukton Rail. The project consists of an update of approx. 1,200 km of the Danish railway network for the new European ETCS Level 2 system. The project is in daily speech referred to as the F-bane Project, and is currently in the installing phase, where the first line has been installed and tested and now this should be implemented on the rest.
Reporting to the Test and Commissioning Manager, and as part of a team of test engineers, the Site Test Engineers will be responsible for performing the tasks needed in relation to:
These will be very important tasks in order to provide a fully functional signalling system in Jutland according to the contracts service level goals.
The majority of the time will locate on site in Jutland following the installation and test phases of the project.

Reporting to the Test and Commissioning Manager, and as part of a team of test engineers, the Site Test Engineers will be responsible for performing the tasks needed in relation to:
- Factory test of assembled technical buildings.
- On site test of installed track side equipment axel counters, point machines, level crossings among other elements including correspondence test between track side elements, interlocking and traffic control center.
- Participate in site acceptance test activities.
- Participate in commissioning activities.
- Test of signalling system in lab environments.
These will be very important tasks in order to provide a fully functional signalling system in Jutland according to the contracts service level goals.
The majority of the time will locate on site in Jutland following the installation and test phases of the project.
Key Responsibilities and tasks:
- Participate in developing Thales Denmark Test team onsite procedures.
- Participate in performing the Pre- FAT, Pre-test, SIT and SAT test in Jutland to end of 2022.
- Take a leading role in the onsite test team in terms of planning, quality assurance of the work and performance follow up.
- Participate in basic training in the total Thales ERTMS system.
- Specialize in defined key areas such as RBC/Interlocking, Network/Switches, Trackside equipment, Servers etc.
Skills and experience:
- Professional, consequent and responsible working attitude
- Organised, accurate and a time keeper (reaches deadlines, attend meetings and appointments)
- Trust is a key value in the team to allow a good working atmosphere.
- Team work is important to reach a common understanding of tasks and everybody’s contribution
- Pro-activity and information sharing supports our common goal and helps others to align their work
- Extensive experience with installation, test and/or commissioning work from the railway industry
- knowledge of railway operation and signalling principles.
- PC knowledge (MS Office)
- Professional proficiency in English and Danish
- German is optional
- Danish railway certifications such as Pas på, på banen (PPPB) or SR arbejdsleder is a merit
