Become a part of hummel’s newly established CREATIVE team
At hummel, our passion is to design, deliver and creatively market our sports- and sports fashion products. We are a brand with a long history and a unique culture – which we are proud of. Everything we do at hummel starts and ends with sports.
As our new Graphic Designer, you’ll create thumb-stopping visuals, a coherent visual expression across our digital touchpoints and translating our visual identity into stunning visual concepts.
You’ll report to our Creative & Social Media Manager and work closely with the CREATIVE team to conceptualize and produce campaigns for our direct-to-consumer channels that communicate the hummel brand and convert audiences to followers and followers to customers.
Tasks
Together with our Copywriter and Senior Marketing Project Manager, you’ll work to create creative concepts based on the briefs the CREATIVE department receives from our internal stakeholders. Working as a team, you’ll ensure that the concepts match our brand identity – both tonally and visually – and engage freelancers and production companies to bring those ideas to life.
Moreover, you’ll use Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and After Effects to make the final assets work across all our digital touchpoints from newsletter and social media to marketplaces and website.
Together with the CREATIVE team and our colleagues in BRAND IDENTITY, you’ll also work on setting the direction for our creative strategy and how to bring our brand personality traits to life - in text, photo and video.
Additionally, you’ll be responsible for:
- Design, layout and prepare assets for banners, digital advertising, emails, marketplaces, social media, website, etc.
- Work with animators, photographers and videographers to produce ad hoc assets
Qualifications and personality
You know how to create the right balance between storytelling devices and effective commercial messaging that moves our end consumers closer to a purchase or our brand.
You are a wordsmith by trade and have the vocabulary of a native speaker, but know when to cut your loses for the sake of getting copy, concepts and ideas done.
You have experience with concept development and creative strategy, but a creative mind is more important than years and years at the right agency.
Here’s what we are looking for:
- Strong Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop skills (After Effect and Premiere Pro a plus, but not required).
- Graphic design experience in creative conception and campaign development as well as a natural interest in digital media.
- You are a DIGITAL NATIVE; your screen is as important as the air you breathe - you know where the trends are heading.
- You have experience from a similar position that you’ll document by sending through examples of your work
- You are passionate about especially sports and sports fashion, but also art, design, music, film and contemporary film; topics from where you draw inspiration for your work.
- As a team player, you are both flexible and positive - with a natural outgoing personality
- You manage to keep yourself on track, you take initiative and can work in a fast and changeable environment
- You are a strong communicator in English (written and spoken)
- You are proactive, outgoing, equipped with a positive mindset and a drive to create results
