United Shipping & Trading Company (USTC) is looking for a Compensation and Benefits Lead to drive the compensation and rewards processes in an industry-leading company in growth. USTC is continuously evolving, currently with offices in 38 countries and more than 3,900 employees through its worldwide portfolio of activities that include oil & energy, shipping & logistics, ship owning, risk management, and IT.

Being a part of USTC, you will join an HR team of 20 colleagues supporting a broad range of activities within the USTC umbrella. The position is located at the headquarter located in Middelfart, with the possibility of flexible working arrangement such as working from one of the other locations. You will become a key member of the Center of Excellence in HR working closely with a broad range of stakeholders in a joyful but professional working environment.

A colleague with a flair for numbers and HR drive

As Compensation and Benefits Lead, you will ensure competitive, fair, and efficient reward structures and develop efficient compensation dashboards. In this role, you will join the Terms & Rewards team, which is part of an ambitious HR department. You will create and deliver USTC HR’s global vision and strategy for total rewards, including compensation processes and work together with internal HR and external partners within the payroll process, payroll benchmark, and payroll recommendations to the subsidiaries.

Reporting to the Head of Terms & Rewards, you will work closely with the Terms & Rewards team, consisting of 6 passionate employees.

You will get to use your knowledge and experience applying your analytical mindset and flair for numbers to support the development and the Danish rewards standards across the organisation. The focus will be on leading the next phase of global standardisation and delivering excellence within the area of Total Rewards.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Developing efficient compensation dashboards and defining fair, equitable, and competitive USTC compensation strategy
  • Support development and validation of the compensation and benefits structure through analytics and assessment of the results
  • Keep up to date concerning what is happening within the compensation & benefits area in comparable companies and with relevant suppliers
  • Involved in other benefits areas such as pension, insurance, and bonus simulations as well as supporting the business with reports in relation to salary
  • Assisting the HR team with the annual HR cycle in terms of salary process and budget Sideskift

Competent and detail-oriented with strong analytical skills

You are an experienced Compensation and Benefits Lead and familiar with incentives and benefits schemes. You see yourself thriving, working closely with stakeholders, and establishing relations within the organisation. You have an eye for details, a proactive approach, and an ability to challenge the status quo. Moreover, you have:

  • A relevant educational background in human resources, business administration, finance, or similar
  • Experience with Mercer IPE or knowledge of other compensation and benefits methodologies
  • Excellent English proficiencies, spoken as well as written, and Danish as a major advantage
