We are strengthening our professional HR team and are looking for an HR Partner who is comfortable as trusted advisor and courageous advocate – and ready to move the dial for our leaders and talents.

Together with our 7,200 dedicated professionals, COWI pushes the boundaries of engineering design around the globe. People are our business, and your role in defining, building and developing this focus is crucial.

Joining our International Business Line, you will partner to the SVP of Transportation International and be a key player in shaping and growing the business unit of 550+ people across 15 countries in Europe, Africa, Middle East and Asia. Our specialists are involved in building the world greatest bridges, e.g. the Great Belt Bridge in Denmark and advanced Tunnel design, currently in the Fehmarn project. Reporting to the Head of HR for COWI International, you will be part of an international team of 9 HR colleagues, and collaborate with our skilled team in Group HR, who assist on recruitment, labour relations and mobility.

APPLY YOUR SKILLS TO DRIVE CHANGE AND BUSINESS IMPACT

You will be responsible for driving the strategic HR agenda for the BU, with special focus on organisational development, HR support for large projects and accelerate the talent pipeline for our Project Managers, Leaders and Specialists. You will also be responsible for implementing new HR processes and tools as well as mature the compliance level within HR operational processes.

Your responsibilities will cover:

  • Drive relevant organisational or people related initiatives to support the business agenda of Transportation International
  • Support the leaders through the activities of building engagement, developing talent and driving performance, guided by our annual HR cycle
  • Implement new policies or support roll-out of Group based-initiatives
  • Liaise between leaders and Group functions on matters of recruitment, mobility and other people issues to build leadership maturity and ensure adequate contextual understanding

Your passion to bring change and maturity to a function, your appetite for understanding how the business makes money and your tenaciousness in putting HR on the agenda, will be key to succeed with the above.

Your ability to communicate, and build trust with your stakeholder, will be key to your success. Additionally, your ability to influence decision processes and navigate across different cultures, are equally important qualities.

Other valuable experiences are:

  • Minimum of 6 years' experience within HR, predominantly as an HRBP
  • Experience from an international environment and/or consulting industry
  • Solid HR toolbox, especially Talent mgmt., Leadership development and Organisational development
  • Successful track record of driving change including coaching leaders at all levels of an organisation
  • Comfortable using data, when advising the leaders on organisational decisions
  • Familiar with operational HR such as termination, mobility and grievances
  • Structured and able to prioritize the many incoming demands
  • Pro-active and resilient when working with leaders to shape the people agenda
  • Fluently in English written and spoken
