The opportunity:
We are looking for a passionate Talent Attraction & Acquisition Operations Manager for Europe. This position plays a crucial role by providing agility to our Talent Attraction & Acquisition delivery operations by driving effective pre-onboarding process to shape a unique experience for our new joiners at Maersk. This position will lead a Talent Acquisition Operation team of talented TAA Associates supporting Europe.
This position is flexible to be based in one of our European locations, ideally Lisbon, Copenhagen or The Hague and will be reporting to the Head of TAA for Europe. The role will also manage two TAA Operations Team Leaders.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, build and develop a high-performing, efficient and agile team of operations professionals and set the strategic direction and goals of your organisation.
- Manage and optimise the delivery of interview scheduling for the Europe region, looking and evaluating process improvements of existing technology tools whist ensuring a positive candidate experience.
- Drive an agile and effective “Manage Hire process” (Background checks and pre-onboarding activities) to ensure consistency across the region and drive a great employee experience for our new joiners during the Pre-Onboarding phase.
- Work closely with the Recruitment Managers to support them on the operations of Talent Acquisition Delivery and mainly during the handover of the recruitment processes to the Pre-Onboarding processes.
- Coordinate and align the “Manage Hire” process with other key areas from People Functions such as Payroll and People Advisory teams.
- Ensure high quality in the Manage Hire Process flow according to the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and maintaining high quality data in our HR System. Also responsible for attending to any issue, escalation that needs to be solved.
- Implement improvements at the “Manage Hire” process for a continuous process excellence for the employee experience journey.
- Track performance and reporting towards the “Manage Hire” process
- Coordinate the Ops Team to support other recruiting-related operational activities to support the delivery such as interview scheduling, data quality, vendor management.
- Piloting process improvement initiatives and drive wider adoption when considerable gains are proved. Equally, being decisive to make “pull-the-plug” decisions when necessary.
What we are looking for:
- Experience in leading Talent Acquisition delivery operations
- Leadership Experience managing direct reports.
- Process Oriented / Detail Oriented
- Ability to identify process improvements and drive improvements
- Customer-oriented with experience working with multiple stakeholders across borders, building and maintaining strong relationships with recruiters, hiring managers, business partners and candidates.
- Comfort/experience communicating and influencing across multiple stakeholders and able to write convincing narratives, using data and analysis to back-up recommendations.
- Problem solving and analytical skills and ability to diagnose and drive solutions in a complex and ambiguous environment.
- Passionate about delivering a positive candidate experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience running operation for a multi geography Recruiting/Human Resources team
- Project Management experience or equivalent process certifications.
