ABOUT THE ROLE:
We have an exciting opportunity for a People Development Director to join our team and establish a new People Development department. As the People Development Director, you will be responsible for creating and implementing strategic initiatives to foster employee growth, enhance organizational capabilities, and drive a performance culture of continuous learning and development across SCANDINAVIAN TOBACCO GROUP. You will be reporting directly to our Chief HR Officer and be part of the Global HR Leadership team.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
We have an exciting opportunity for a People Development Director to join our team and establish a new People Development department. As the People Development Director, you will be responsible for creating and implementing strategic initiatives to foster employee growth, enhance organizational capabilities, and drive a performance culture of continuous learning and development across SCANDINAVIAN TOBACCO GROUP. You will be reporting directly to our Chief HR Officer and be part of the Global HR Leadership team.
WHAT WILL YOU BE RESPONSIBLE FOR?
- Developing and executing a comprehensive people development strategy aligned with our business objectives and strategy
- Establishing the People Development team, including designing processes, systems, and team structure
- Create initiatives to foster a performance driven culture
- Creating and implementing learning and development programs to grow capabilities and talents
- Designing and managing leadership development initiatives to build a strong pipeline of future leaders
- Join post mercer integration team to onboard new businesses into STG
- Drive our talent management process and develop initiatives to accelerate our talents growth
- Collaborating with HR and business leaders to identify skill gaps and create targeted development activities
- Implementing performance management processes that foster employee growth and align with company goals
- Creating and managing a budget for people development initiatives
- Establishing metrics to measure the impact and ROI of development programs
- Staying current with industry trends and best practices in learning and development
WHAT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WILL BE REQUIRED?
- 10+ years of experience in Learning & Development, Talent Management, or related fields, with at least 5 years in an international leadership role
- Proven track record of designing and implementing successful people development strategies
- Experience in establishing new departments or functions within an organization
- Can demonstrate successful results driving talent and performance management processes and succession planning
- Experience with learning management systems and e-learning platforms
- Excellent project management and organizational skills
- Strong leadership abilities with experience managing and developing teams
- Outstanding communication, multi-cultural and interpersonal skills
- Ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to execution
- Adaptability and resilience to thrive in a new role and department
- Relevant master's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related field
- International experience or exposure to global organizations is preferred
