Job summary:
The Human Resources (HR) Department of Fehmarn Belt Contractors (FBC) is responsible for all personnel involved in the company’s Tunnel Dredging & Reclamation project, which is ultimately forming part of the Fehmarn Belt Tunnel project.
The HR Coordinator will take an important part in the HR Department (comprising of 3 employees) in building a new, agile HR unit within an international and dynamic organization.
The HR Coordinator supports the HR Manager in all day-to-day activities in the project HR Department. He/she works as a specialist within HR and is able to communicate and advise convincingly on Danish labour matters, recruitment, employment terms and benefits or education.
The HR Coordinator is able to make proposals for new policy, either at the request of the HR Manager or on his own initiative, as a result of changes in legislation and regulations. He/she makes these proposals from new/different angles. HR Coordinator is able to execute the HR Policy and has well-developed consultancy skills (listening, summarizing, asking questions).
Responsibilities and tasks will include execution of HR initiatives and processes, policies and procedures. The HR Coordinator will be involved in all processes with talent attraction, employee hiring, pre- and onboarding and record maintenance, i.e. create job profiles and job postings, preparation of/creating employment contracts (Danish-salaried) and addendums. Duties also include, but are not limited to HR database support, data management and manipulation, training coordination, reporting to and obtain information from authorities (i.e. related to relocating to Denmark++), administrative and operational issues and communications to employees.
The HR Coordinator will also play an important role in the further development and maintenance of our HR administrative processes and also of our HR knowledge & resource planning tools, e.g. SharePoint, templates, guidelines and policies.

Required knowledge/experience
Education/certifications:
- Upper Intermediate or Higher Professional Education, preferably in Personnel Management or Human Resources
Experience:
- 5 - 7 years experience in supporting of international (project) organizations related to personnel, preferably in maritime / oil & gas environment
Other requirements and preferences:
- Advanced knowledge of English and Danish languages on a professional level (spoken and in writing)
- Strong interpersonal skills. Must be able to effectively communicate with management, technical and operations staff at all levels
- Advanced skills in ICT Office applications (Office365 and Sharepoint online)
- Experience with Danish regulations on posting and relocation is preferred but not a requirement
- Independent worker
- Self starter, experienced in working in a global environment and dealing with cultural differences
- No 9 to 5 mentality
