Group Category Sourcing Manager for Communication & Security

What will you be doing you ask?
Communication & Security is a strategically important category for Solar with a spent within an international vendor portfolio - and you will be responsible for the sourcing strategy of the category.

You will be analyzing, planning and executing strategic sourcing projects - and you want to reach the KPI´s related to commercial profitability. You drive negotiations, get agreements in place and build vendor relationships, both with local and international vendors. You are responsible for achieving continuous commercial improvements in order to get the best agreement and purchase conditions possible for Solar.

Part of your role will also be to support the development of sourcing as discipline cross borders within the entire category. In other words, you will be responsible for the supervision and the execution of daily maintenance and operation of the “Sourcing Excellence” discipline within the whole Communication and Security area.

Other key responsibilities will be:

• Negotiation of prices & commercial terms for our global contracts.
• Vendor agreement responsible in our procurement systems.
• Supporting the category strategy with specific sourcing strategy.
• COGS (Cost of Goods Sold).
• Vendor scouting and evaluation.

The Communication & Security category is covering a wide range of products through our global Value Sourcing service such as of FTTH solutions, network equipment but also standard assortments as CCTV, fire alarms, access/entrance control or intrusion. The product portfolio is important for Solar, as we truly believe in productivity improvement, digitalization, the green transition and networked development.

The team
You will be part of Category Management under the category Communication & Security. Category Management is globally organized, and therefore you will be a part of a team and work across all Solar markets and you can be placed in any of our entities. You will report to the Group Senior Category Manager who is placed in Denmark.

What do you bring to the table?
We’re looking for a creative and versatile person, who can easily communicate and is not afraid to negotiate. You must be able to work in a team, but also independently – and furthermore, you should have the following:

• Solid experience within the field of supply chain category-management or sourcing.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.
• You are a team player and capable of interacting with many stakeholders both internally and externally.
• Knowledge of working in a global and cross-functional team.
• Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English.
