About the position
As the Group Category Sourcing Manager, Industrial Automation, you are responsible for executing on the sourcing strategy and overseeing the “Sourcing Excellence” discipline within the Industrial Automation category. Industrial Automation focuses on products used for control and data acquisition in automated processes within industries. You work with contract terms and supplier relationships related to this category.

You will act as the trader representing and supporting the supplier negotiations to obtain the best agreements and purchasing terms for Solar. In general, you also support the development of sourcing, as a discipline within the entire category.

Purchasing (sourcing) is a “balancing act”. It is the process of requesting quotations for new products, planning and carrying out supplier negotiations, maintaining and processing supplier information in our procurement software, challenging lead times, payment terms, minimum order quantities etc.. In other words, pretty much everything related to profitability.

Other responsibilities will include:

• Acting as the Vendor agreement responsible in our procurement systems
• Supporting the category strategy with specific sourcing strategy
• Focus on and responsible for COGS (Cost of Goods Sold)
• Vendor scouting
• Tenders
• Cross stocking (intercompany trading)

The team
You will become part of a very ambitious team of Sourcing Managers within the Solar Group and will be part of Category Management within the Industrial Automation category. In this globally organized department, you have colleagues in various countries, and you regularly work with teams in other Solar countries.

We are an international team, and your workplace can be; Alkmaar (NL), Vejen/Århus/Brøndby (DK), Göteborg (SE), or Gardermoen (NO). You will regularly travel abroad to share your expertise and collaborate on international projects. You report directly to the Group Sourcing Director.

Your profile
We are looking for a decisive, creative sourcing profile who gets energy from daily negotiations and can communicate easily (both written and verbally in English). You must be able to perform well both in groups and individually.

Furthermore, we are looking for:

• At least 5 years of experience within the field of supply chain & purchasing (sourcing) Knowledge of SAP and Excel
• Affinity with technical products and willingness to travel occasionally;
• Experience with tactical-strategic purchasing processes.
