Directly reporting to the Aalborg Portland Supply Chain Director, we are looking for an Alternative Fuels, Raw materials and Energy Senior Buyer who will provide the Company with competitive advantage in a total life cycle cost perspective by developing excellence throughout local and effective and efficient procurement activities for the assigned categories.
In particular the incumbent will ensure as follows:
• To propose, develop and improve procurement processes, systems and opportunities as per best procurement practice in accordance with Group Procurement and the Group trading company Spartan Hive
• To cover a wider area of the total spending of the Company.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Demand analysis and establishment of spend baseline
- Support and/or perform the market scouting
- Define and secure the local agreement
- Assess Suppliers
- Execute tender/RFQ if categories are not managed by Group Procurement and Spartan Hive
- Manage daily activities on SAP Purchase order management
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION: BA, MA, BSc (HD), MBA, preferably in Supply Chain
EXPERIENCE: 3 - 5 years
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE: Sourcing process in manufacturing business (cement industry nice to have), SAP Ariba and MS Office tools knowledge, Analytical skills, Negotiation skills, Cost analysis, Optimization of business processes and systems for purchasing
BUSINESS UDERSTANDING: Management of strategic purchase functions laying the main emphasis on sourcing assignments, production and supply planning, Network management and development internally and externally, Determination of policies, principles, procedures, goals and strategies for operations and development of the function
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Good command of English. German is nice to have

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Participate in development and execution of sourcing strategy for the category area in close collaboration with Spartan Hive and Group Procurement, including:
- Demand analysis and establishment of spend baseline
- Support and/or perform the market scouting
- Define and secure the local agreement
- Assess Suppliers
- Execute tender/RFQ if categories are not managed by Group Procurement and Spartan Hive
- Manage daily activities on SAP Purchase order management
- Improve working capital related to the category area
- Provide continuous cost savings
- Participate in relevant Group Procurement meetings and improvement projects
- Participate actively in daily operations with local stakeholders
- Prepare budget, estimate and report related to category area
- Ensure process optimization or improvements in terms of raw material or energy purchase, consumption or planning as well as implementation of procedures from Group or capacity utilization
- Ensure optimal collaboration and communication with local functions, Group Procurement and Spartan Hive
- Comply with Local and Group procurement policies, procedures
