Global Procurement Powertrain & Nacelles Powertrain
Vestas Global Procurement is responsible for all procurement activities within Vestas, including leading cross functional category teams, negotiations and contract management, development of end-2-end cost out initiatives, category strategy development and supplier relationship management.
This position is related to managing the Gearbox Category and functionally leading the related team which consist of four employees in Denmark, Porto and Chennai.

You will join a high-profiled position with a very high level of strategic exposure within Vestas. Your everyday activities will be characterised by a very high tempo and requirement to engage in-, manage and prioritise between multiple different critical projects. Responsibilities
You will join a high-profiled position with a very high level of strategic exposure within Vestas. Your everyday activities will be characterised by a very high tempo and requirement to engage in-, manage and prioritise between multiple different critical projects. Overall expected deliverables include:
- Continue developing the long-term strategic direction and vision for Vestas' GBX procurement and technology activities
- Provide clear leadership and support personnel and professional development for the purchasers in the team
- Build a close relationship with the strategic partnership suppliers in the category and continue delivering value through long term supplier account management
- Become a part of the Powertrain & Nacelles extended management team, where you together with your Purchasing Manager colleagues will contribute to the organisational development of the full global department
- Building a strong network within Vestas, including close engagement in the GBX category team with colleagues from Technology, Production, Service and Quality. Further, provide pro-active stakeholder management, including executive management level stakeholders
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience with strategic procurement combined with a degree in either business or engineering
- Experience with handling huge budgets (+800 million EURO) on few vendors
- Proven record of strong stakeholder management skills incl. experience with communication on executive level
- Excellent communication skills including fluent English skills
- Advanced skills within PPT and Excel required
- Experience with mechanical components an advantage
