Manufacturing and Global Procurement Global Procurement Controls & Infrastructure
Vestas Global Procurement is responsible for all procurement activities within Vestas, including developing cross-functional commodity teams, negotiations and contract management, development of end-2-end cost out initiatives, commodity strategy development and supplier relationship management.
The category for which the purchaser is needed is Electrical. This area consists of multiple suppliers spread out over the globe with a 3-digit million EUR spend per year.
This position is based in Aarhus, Denmark and related to among other categories PCBA and aviation light within the procurement team Software Application & Electronics module which is part of the Electrical Category in Global Procurement and being part of a global team which consists of employees in Denmark, Tainjin and Chennai.
Responsibilities
You will join a motivated team with a very high level of strategic exposure within Vestas. Your everyday activities will be characterized by a very high activity level and a requirement to engage in, coordinate and prioritize between multiple different projects. Qualifications
The right candidate can be a newly graduated with a degree in either Supply Chain Management, Finance/Accounting, Sales/Marketing, Engineering or hold minimum 5 years of work experience within Strategic Purchasing.

- Participate in strategy and roadmap development
- Align internally in the Module procurement team for the Platform Launches (Timelines, forecast, supplier categories etc) and towards other internal stakeholders
- Early supplier involvement - focusing on complexity reduction, design to cost, standardization, capacity risks
- Perform cross-functional projects across CMT's in the Global Procurement
Qualifications
The right candidate can be a newly graduated with a degree in either Supply Chain Management, Finance/Accounting, Sales/Marketing, Engineering or hold minimum 5 years of work experience within Strategic Purchasing.
- Excellent communication skills including fluent in Danish and English (both orally and in writing)
- Proven record of effective stakeholder management skills incl. experience with communication
- Advanced skills within PPT, Excel and Word are a must
- SAP Experience would be a benefit but not a requirement
- Experience with mechanical components is also an advantage
