Manufacturing & Global Procurement Global Procurement Powertrain & Nacelles
Vestas Global Procurement is overall responsible for all supply chain management activities within Vestas Wind System A/S, including leading cross functional category teams, negotiations, cost out initiatives, category strategy development and implementation, quality and delivery performance, supplier relationship management and supplier account management.
The category for which the purchaser is needed is the nacelle load and enclosure category. This area consists of multiple suppliers spread out over the globe, mainly in Asia and a 3-digit million EUR spend per year.
The category is globally responsible for all commercial aspects of the welded metal items, casting and machined components, covers and enclosures, cooling and conditioning etc. utilised within the nacelle of the turbine.

Responsibilities
You will lead key initiatives in Global Procurement focused on supply chain optimisation. Working closely with the Commodity Team and key stakeholders you will:
- Optimise the current supply base including the cost base
- Become a dedicated part of the Commodity Team, working across different business units and time zones within Vestas
- Function as Supplier Account Manager for the Supplier within your area of responsibility including find and lead selection, qualification, negotiation and contracting for the suppliers within the commodity
- Analyse cost structures, spends and demands patterns, macro-economic effects and impacts on behalf of the entire team
- Drive continuous improvement programs both internally and at the suppliers with special focus on cost saving initiatives, supplier optimisation and component standardisation
- Ensure adherence to KPI's set by Global Procurement in regard to safety, quality, cost, delivery, innovation and sustainability
- Drive best in class initiatives and thereby ensure we take the supply chain to the next level
Qualifications
- The right candidate can be a newly graduated with a degree in either Supply Chain Management, Finance/Accounting, Sales/Marketing, Engineering or hold minimum 5 years of work experience within Strategic Purchasing
- Excellent communication skills including fluent in Danish and English (both orally and in writing)
- Advanced skills within PPT, Excel and Word are a must
- SAP Experience is an advantage but not a requirement
