Do you want to play a key part in supporting the planning and implementing INEOS Energy’s portfolio of upcoming projects in Denmark? And are you keen to work in a challenging environment, where you will play a key role in a dynamic and diverse team?
We are looking for a Team Lead Operational Purchaser to join our Procurement department, which is responsible for supporting the sourcing demands of internal departments including offshore operations, capital projects, drilling, carbon capture & storage, well engineering and decommissioning. We are looking for candidates with experience of leading a team of operations purchasers with SAP data input, supplier clarifications, SAP reporting and implementing continuous improvements to work practices.
We currently have 250 employees in Denmark with offices in Esbjerg and Virum. You will be based at our office in Esbjerg.

INEOS Energy produce oil and natural gas from assets both in the UK and Denmark. The Danish operations have been centered around the Siri, Nini, Cecilie, Stine and Hejre fields however, the acquisition of Syd Arne from Hess in September 2021, has deepened our operating position and provided opportunities for organic growth. The Greensand carbon storage project, which plans to safely and cost effectively permanently store up to 8 million Tonnes of CO2 per annum, will contribute significantly to Denmark’s 2030 overall emissions reduction target.

We are looking for candidates with experience of leading a team of operations purchasers with SAP data input, supplier clarifications, SAP reporting and implementing continuous improvements to work practices.

Primary tasks will be to
- Ensure POs are created, and orders are placed under an appropriate agreement
- Participate in continuous improvement of the operational procurement process
- Proactively support the business unit requisitioners i.e., finding suppliers and negotiating agreement
- Organise electronic filing of key documentation
- Provide management reports from SAP using tools such as Power BI
- Receive requisitions and create POs for all types of purchases where POs are required (hands on)
- Follow up on purchase orders with suppliers from a commercial point of view
- Support requisitioners in Investigations of non-conformances e.g., incorrectly, or damaged deliveries, warranty
- Manage and close open purchase orders in relation to commitments and deliveries
