By joining us in the position as Sourcing Engineer, you will work closely with the local Manager Sourcing having your own areas of responsibilities and as a part of the Sourcing Team drive the common Sourcing Strategy.

Emerson Marine is market leading within the marine business and offers integrated control and monitoring systems, valve remote control systems as well as monitoring of cargo and service tanks and flow solutions for all types of ships and offshore units. The headquarter is placed in Naestved, Denmark where you will also find our production facilities. We also have production facilities in Ry, Denmark (software house), Sweden, South Korea and China. Furthermore, we are represented by sales and/ or service sites in marine strategic countries like Sweden, Greece, UAE, Singapore, Holland, Turkey and USA. Marine has 550 employees worldwide of which approximately 160 are placed in Denmark.

Your Key Objectives will be:
- Reducing the total sourcing cost, by finding new suppliers and working with existing suppliers, for ongoing improvements of cost and payment terms
- Ensuring best sourcing practices in New Product Development or other large projects
- Facilitate, together with the supply chain, In/Out sourcing decisions
- Sourcing support during relocation of new products to other sites
- Reducing indirect costs, in partnership with production technology, to secure the lowest costs
- Focus on the improvement of suppler performance measures (DPPM, RDSL, PDSL)
- Engage/support in US global sourcing initiatives (e.g. Net Material Inflation and others)
- In collaboration with supply chain, ensure supplier agreements support for our DOH/ITO goals. All new contracts support ABC guidelines from US global
- Create SAP master data, when new parts are
- Create and maintain supplier data
For this role you will need:
- 3-5 year experience from a similar role in a procurement/sourcing function;
- Bachelor in engineering, preferably mechanical / electrical or Equivalent is preferable but not a requirement;
- It helps a lot if you are a person with analytical skills;
- And, of course, you should master both Danish and English, in writing and
