Do you want to be part of the Fehmarnbelt Fixed Link which will consist of a motorway and rail connection including a 18 km long tunnel that will allow travelling faster and safer between scandinavia and continental Europe? Now you have an opportunity – we are looking for you.It will be the world’s longest immersed tunnel and the longest tunnel for both road and rail traffic.
FLC is looking for a purchaser for the German site on Fehmarn to support the project teams with all its needs. You will be part of the FLC organization a joint venture between major European contractors.Please get in touch if you see yourself fit for the challenge.

The procurement purchaser is responsible for the timely placement of purchase orders and delivery of materials to meet projects requirements. In addition, procurement purchaser is responsible for physical transport movements and associated insurance and materials management within and between the construction sites.

Purpose of the job

Key activities / result areas
Strategy and management
- Advice the management on purchase matters.
- Implement and maintain worldwide procurement and logistic system.
- Maintain the overall procurement and logistics procedures.
- Maintain suppliers database.
- Assess and evaluate suppliers.
Purchasing
- Ensure an efficient overall purchase process.
- Prepare recommendation for management.
- Arrange sufficient quotations in consultation with originator.
- Negotiate and purchase goods.
- Organize and maintain purchase system.
- Archive relevant purchasing documentation.
- Stay up to date with market developments.
- Verify incoming invoices.
- Managing and controlling (external) suppliers and establish strategic relationships with key suppliers.
Logistics
- Organize transport of goods.
- Organize special transport (towage, heavy lift, charters, dangerous goods).
- Maintain regular contacts with project representatives.
- Maintain regular contacts with transport suppliers/representatives.
- Organize and co-ordinate transport insurance.
- Report of transport status to projects.
- Advice on materials management/store procedure.
- Assist in expediting.
Assist in the progress and monitoring from suppliers.
- Monitor deliveries at marshalling yard and stores.
- Expediting status to be reported to sites.
Administration
- Signatures for po, payment request, expense reports.
- Po’s printing and distribution.
- Register requisition in systems.
- Payment request prepared.
- Issue/enter pos in through systems.
Required qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in infrastructure projects.
- Experience in similar positions.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent German and English proficiency (both spoken and written).
- A knowledge of Danish will be an advantage.
Personal skills:
- Structural and well organized.
- Great team worker.
- Strong problem solving, analytical and information management skills.
