Your profile
You have a degree in procurement/sourcing, and 3+ years’ of practical experience with managing one or more categories in a professional company with good results. You have executed supplier integration projects in an international volume business. Your methods are strategic, structured, and hands-on, and you can document good teamwork and results in your current job.

You are familiar with sourcing technical components and can read and verify technical drawings. You are probably one of the top talents and team players in your team, with expert English language skills, and you take energy from both strategic projects and day-to-day tasks.

Your hands-on working style, good teamwork and strong diplomatic skills will be key tools for you in having success in the job both short and long term, since you will develop strategic relations with suppliers that are mutually beneficial and supporting SBS Friction business results.

The job
The key mission is to develop, implement, and execute the category strategy for SBS Friction to maximize the value of procured services and products, ensuring alignment with Brembo Global Procurement.

You will provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders, optimising the development of the sourcing strategy, processes, and execution. You are responsible for ensuring that defined KPIs, sourcing tools and Service Level Agreements fulfil procurement strategy. You will orchestrate strategy implementation plans, follow-up and cyclically communicate the plan in cooperation with Management.

The job requires a high level of proactivity and service-orientation – and a clear team mindset. Being able to work in a dynamic international team and take an active interest in preserving and developing our very good working climate and our processes is pivotal.

Your specific tasks will be

  • Participate in the development and execution of the sourcing strategy for SBS Friction to maximize the value of procured services and products, ensuring alignment both locally and globally
  • Project management, including ensuring coordination between relevant stakeholders and ensure that we have the best-fit suppliers to satisfy “Voice of the Customer”
  • Serve as subject matter expert and advise stakeholders on all aspects of product categories, including supplier capabilities, forecasting and trends, supply market changes, global currency fluctuations, and ‘Should Cost’ models
  • Day-to-day management of the category, including organizing call-off, inventory optimization and processes internally and externally
  • Supplier scouting, selection and negotiation and maintaining the preferred supplier list in cooperation with quality according to IATF 16949?
  • Implement cost reduction initiatives and optimise the performance of the supplier delivery and quality performance, risk mitigation, commodity economics, working capital improvement, and contract compliance
  • Supplier development through collaborative planning, forecasting and replenishment of tools and processes
  • Deployment of risk management policy, contract management, and compliance
  • Develop and maintain improvement targets, measurement and reporting for category and identify synergies
  • Be responsible for the local approved / preferred supplier list
  • Ensure correct master data from vendors, updated documentation of processes, templates, policies, manuals, and systems
  • Implement supplier progress report on CAPEX and project procurement

Your profile/qualifications

  • A commercial background with a degree within procurement
  • 3+ years’ experience within category management, strategic sourcing, or supplier integration
  • Experience with market analysis including KPI, Balanced Scorecards, and improvement plans
  • Experience in developing and delivering value-added procurement
  • Experience in negotiating and executing procurement agreements
  • A proactive personality working persistently to improve results and processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Skilled in MS Office
  • Preferrable experience with D365
  • Service minded team player who is not afraid of challenging the status quo
