We are a medium-sized mechanical engineering company and are one of the leading companies in Germany in our field. With over 250 employees and an export share of approx. 45%. we are successfully on a growth-path. We are producing eccentric screw and twin-screw pumps for over 50 years, especially for biogas-plants, waste-water-applications, the food-industry, chemical, paper and agricultural technology sectors

You will be based in the Allgäu, in the city of Wangen im Allgäu, located in the beautiful southern part of Germany, and will report to the managing director.

Job description

• The position includes the full management if IT-resources which consists of (i) the IT-Network with Servers, and all surrounding equipment and software, as well as (ii) the management of the ERP-system and its development in the following years
• Budget planning, technical and disciplinary management of the IT team of about 4 people, including employee development and know-how securization/transfer
• Responsibility for the IT infrastructure (hardware and software equipment), including requirements-management and the coordination of external service providers
• Continuous development of a modern IT infrastructure

o Development of future-proof concepts to ensure sustainable IT operations

o Integration of mobile devices

• Planning and management of IT projects as well as support of company-wide projects
• Advising management on strategic IT issues
• Ensuring the smooth operation of the existing IT infrastructure and supporting day-to-day operations
• Ensuring information and data security, network access and backup systems

Experience, Skills and Educational requirements

As a future employee (m/f/d), you will have a degree, preferably in IT, as well as many years of professional experience in a comparable position.

• Leadership experience and social competence
• Proven extensive knowledge in the area of administration and support of Windows client/server systems in hybrid environments (network structures, server management .etc....)
• Experience in managing complex database systems and VMWare clusters is a plus
• Distinct economic, analytical and process-oriented thinking and acting
• Structured and independent way of working, flexibility and commitment
