Senior IT Project Manager

ALK Global Business IT (GBIT) is looking for a Senior Project Manager with a proven track record of running complex IT-projects in an international setting. You will be joining the ALK GBIT Project Management Department and will work with skilled IT professionals based in Hørsholm, Cracow and Madrid.

In your role you will be working closely with the head of IT-projects, and will have high exposure across ALK as you will be leading business critical projects and programs.

ALK has a very active, busy and ambitious IT Roadmap consisting of critical business IT projects across RD, Commercial, Production and Quality.

To deliver on this we are looking for a candidate with in-depth knowledge of both classic and agile project methodologies (SAFe experience is a plus), along with excellent stakeholder management & communication skills and background from the life science industry.

Your role is essential in the organization and management of the strategic important project of replacing ALK’s global EDMS system to a modern Veeva solution. Following this you will be heading up other IT-Board projects, which will have strategic importance for ALK.

Your role as Senior IT Project Manager

In your role as Senior Project Manager heading up the Veeva implementation to replace the current EDMS solution, you will take the responsibility of one of our top3 projects in our portfolio. The project is vital for ALK ability to grow and supports key LK has a very active, busy and ambitious IT Roadmap consisting of critical business IT projects across RD, Commercial, Production and Quality processes and workflows across all of ALK.

This means that you will:

• Manage project stakeholders globally across ALK & externally
• Build and manage senior relationships with strategic IT vendors
• Secure successful system handover to operations
• Secure platform and programme input to update the yearly IT strategy
• Actively secure timely preparation of project and programme content for StC and ITB meetings
• Support the Development and training of project managers, managers, team leaders and release managers in scoping, estimation and project budgeting and reporting
• Be the right hand of the Head of IT portfolio and project management
• Secure active collaboration with other units in IT
• Secure good collaboration with QA and support inspections
• Overall Budget responsibility for the IT programme and corresponding IT projects

With your strong business acumen, you understand and translate business needs into viable IT solutions. Also, your strong stakeholder management skills allow you to communicate with both executives, IT experts and SME colleagues to get your projects successfully planned and implemented.

Your qualifications

As a candidate for the role you have:

• 5-8 years of experience of project, programme and portfolio management experience from a recognized international oriented company or consultancy business
• 5-8 years experience with IT implementations and/or maintenance
• 5-8 years experience with core R&D processes – Research, Clinical or Regulatory. This experience can either be from the business side or from the implementation side, but it must be substantial and broad in scope.
• 5-8 years of experience with GxP-implementations and experience working with QA
• significant experience as senior project manager for full life-cycle projects (initiation, implementation and closure)
• excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills
