As Project Engineer at SSI Schäfer, you will be part of the logistic solutions project organisation responsible for mechanical design and functionalities. You will be committed to projects from the preliminary design phase to the handover and project commissioning. This includes the mechanical system layout, ensuring the solutions meet customer specifications.

With direct report to Department Manager of Logistic Solution Projects, you will have a large contact surface across the organisation, locally and globally. It is essential that you proactively support and involve in the continuous collaboration in the project team and towards stakeholders, as well as ensure a constructive process with high quality throughout the project. In the position, you will prepare various diagrams, mechanical drawings, component lists, and user interfaces for plant management.

Your main tasks are:

• Responsibility for preparing layouts using drawing tools such as AutoDesk Inventor 3D, AutoCAD Architecture
• Preparation of technical specifications
• Administrative follow-up on the projects
• Documentation and updating
• Contact and follow up with subcontractors

You have a mechanical engineering degree or similar, where you have gained experience designing and testing mechanical systems. You have relevant experience with drawing programs (preferably 3D) and documentation. It is an advantage if you have a background in logistics solutions but not a requirement. In addition, you must have good communication skills and the ability to communicate technical information to people who do not have a technical background.

As a person, you are independent and have a thorough and structured approach to tasks. In addition, you can get tasks prioritised, planned, and completed on time in an environment where several tasks must be handled in parallel.

Travelling: Approximately 15-20 travelling days per year.
