Tasks
As a Manager for the newly established Software Development Team in Displaying Units and Systems Engineering department within Global Innovation, you will be responsible for all aspects of delivering a scalable, customizable and maintainable software platform end to end. You will work closely with our development partners and you will coordinate closely with our hardware function, marketing department, QA/RA and customers.

You have
We are looking for a highly motivated candidate who has experience with leading larger SW development in an R&D environment. You come with a proactive and flexible mind-set combined with the ability to plan, execute and meet deadlines. You manage to focus, prioritize and document the result of analysis and test in technical reports.
As you will be working with external development partners worldwide, it is of great importance that you have excellent leadership skills and interpersonal skills, including multicultural awareness and sensitivity, ideally within Asian culture. Furthermore, using methods and tooling for a structured approach is also natural to you.

Tasks

You will work closely with our development partners and you will coordinate closely with our hardware function, marketing department, QA/RA and customers.
Your key area of responsibilities will be to
- Take part in shaping a high-quality software development team to consistently deliver complex, high-quality software solutions that support our current and future displaying units
- Coach, mentor and lead a diverse group of software developers
- Use your own software engineering skills to be part of the software development and drive the agile culture
- Work with Global Innovation Management and Product Management to drive the prioritization and execution of the backlog
- Supervise the delivery of high quality, well-written code that is quickly understood and easily supported by others
- Driving progress internally and with external subcontractors providing full or partial software contributions
Profile
The ideal candidate is experienced in delivering customer-focused solutions to challenging technical problems and thrives in a fast-moving environment that both requires tactical and strategic thinking.
You have
- Experience with software development for embedded devices
- C++ coding skills
- Engineering process experience with the Agile Software Development principles
- Preferred experience leading customer-facing engineering teams
- Solid understanding of integration and API concepts, patterns, and technologies.
- Experience with managing deliveries from external software engineering vendors
- You value teamwork
- Domain knowledge / experience within application for Linux is highly preferred
