Head of IT Operations
On behalf of our client, a status quo challenging SaaS provider, Randstad is looking for their new Head of IT Operations, with responsibility to oversee a team of specialist improving the technology infrastructure, applications and IT services of the company in- and outside its headquarters in Copenhagen, Denmark.
The Head of IT Operations will effectively develop and implement strategies for service delivery in order to support the strategic needs of the company.
Your position combines strategy definition, technology management, team coordination, administration and pragmatic process management. As the Head of IT Operations, you will play a key role in facilitating the future transition from private to public cloud.
This is a great opportunity for a talented Head of IT Operations to embark on an ambitious technical journey to strengthen their position as the market leading SaaS provider within their space of delivering efficient online service.
SaaS operations
- Manage the IT Operations & Service teams, including 10 FTEs, providing motivational leadership, support and guidance.
- Design and develop IT Operations & Service delivery processes and tools that are consistent with ITIL standards and enable service quality management and measurement at all levels.
- Design and develop IT Operations & Service delivery process and tools that support the product development teams and the product development life cycle.
- Ensure stable and scalable operations, support and incident management of our SaaS clients across the world – with a solid focus on cost efficiency.
- Take charge of communicating risks, outages, and planned system changes that may affect the uptime and activities of clients’ environments.
- Serve as platform incident escalation manager for the most critical issues, while developing incident management discipline within the team to provide coverage for less critical issues.
- Operationalize and optimize new technologies, processes and applications in conjunction with our infrastructure and development teams.
Cloud Architecture
- Oversee and drive the cloud architecture transition road map definition and execution in close collaboration with the Head of Software Architecture.
- Design, Implementation, Maintenance and continuous improvement of robust, secure and performant IT infrastructure/platforms and tools on public cloud for all purposes
Experience
- IT Management with a good knowledge of a broad range of technologies.
- Experienced people manager.
- Capacity to bridge the gap between the complexities of technology and the practical needs of the business.
- Experience of planning, organising, resourcing and managing IT Operation & Service organisations.
- Experience with running infrastructure that supports the development life cycle.
- Experience with public cloud transition on enterprise level.
People & Communication skills
- Team management combining people focus and leadership abilities with a strategic mind and excellent project management skills.
- Excellent analytical and strategic conceptual thinking.
- Pragmatic execution skills.
- Highly developed problem-solving and high-level reasoning skills.
- Strong vendor management, stakeholder management.
- Strong communication and influencing skills at all levels of the organisation.
- Information security is at the core of our client’s business, so it is of paramount importance that you respect the specific security provisions related to the execution of your job.
Technical skills
- Sound work experience with IT infrastructure, architecture and operations (on-prem & cloud).
- Expertise in implementing automated methods to accomplish platform & service deployments at large scale.
- Systems Performance Monitoring and Tuning.
- Experience in dealing with lift-and-shift environments and cloud-native solutions.
