Mechnical Project Engineer for core melting design

You will join the Sustainable Melting department in Hedehusene consisting of 35 skilled colleagues. As our name implies, we enhance the sustainability of the rock melting processes used on our factories all over the world.
Working in a matrix organisation, we combine our different competencies and areas of expertise as we collaborate closely with each other in various smaller project teams.

Your main task will be to design and implement CO2-reducing technologies to replace our already existing melting equipment as well as for new factories. In this, you will be involved from concept study through specification and design to test, commissioning and after service.
Your assignments will vary from smaller refurbishment deliveries and engineering support to participation in large factory projects on a global scale. Some of your specific tasks will be to:
• Create mechanical designs of complete melting installations, incl. 3D modelling in Inventor
• Presentation and review of designs with relevant departments to ensure correct standards
• Draw up tender materials for equipment and collaborate with suppliers
• Commissioning and supervising the implementation of technologies
• Support and services after implementation to ensure the continued functioning of your solutions
Although your new desk will be located in Hedehusene, Denmark, you will often travel around Europe, North America or Asia – mostly to meet with colleagues and suppliers and to supervise the implementation of your designs. You can expect to travel approximately 60-100 days per year, with trips varying from just a couple of days to a few weeks at a time depending on the destination and tasks.

• Are a mechanical engineer with a (perhaps recently completed) bachelor’s or master’s degree
• Could also be an experienced mechanical technician with knowledge of strength calculation and different materials incl. experience with the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED)
• Have experience with design and construction from the heavy industry
• Might already work in Inventor, but the important thing is that you have CAD experience with 3D modelling
• Speak and write English on a professional level
