Mechanical Project Engineer for cooling systems and fluids

You will join the Sustainable Melting department in Hedehusene consisting of 35 skilled colleagues. As our name implies, we enhance the sustainability of the rock melting processes used on our factories all over the world.
Working in a matrix organisation, we combine our different competencies and areas of expertise as we collaborate closely with each other in various smaller project teams.

Your main task will be to design and implement cooling systems (water and air cooling) as well as other auxiliary equipment, such as gas-, oxygen- and nitrogen installations for our melting systems. In this, you will be involved from concept study through specification and design to test, commissioning and after service.
Your assignments will vary from smaller refurbishment deliveries and engineering support to participation in large factory projects on a global scale. Some of your specific tasks will be to:
• Create and specify mechanical designs of cooling systems incl. 3D modelling in Inventor
• Presentation and review of designs with relevant departments to ensure correct standards
• Tender processes, incl. meeting with suppliers
• Commissioning and supervising the implementation of technologies
• Support and services after implementation to ensure the continued functioning of your solutions
Although your new desk will be located in Hedehusene, Denmark, you will often travel around Europe, North America or Asia – mostly to meet with colleagues and suppliers and to supervise the implementation of your designs. You can expect to travel approximately 60-100 days per year, with trips varying from just a couple of days to a few weeks at a time depending on the destination and tasks.

• Are a mechanical engineer with a bachelor’s or master’s degree or an experienced mechanical technician
• Have experience from any industry working with heat exchangers, pipes, pump pressure, thermodynamics and transportation of fluids
• Might already work in Inventor, but the important thing is that you have CAD experience with 3D modelling
• Are as eager as we are to start working with Autocad Plant 3D, which we are about to implement as a tool
• Speak and write English on a professional level
