From Project Engineer to Service Field Engineer in automation

Do you have skills and interest in automation, and would you like to put your career (development) on track, then we have the just right job ready for you. The goal is clear. In a couple of years or three, you will acquire the skills and knowledge to take on the role of Service Lead Engineer. In this, you will have the overall technical responsibility for projects solved by teams with participants from several of our locations in both Denmark and abroad. Your primary focus will be application programming of controllers for ABB's proprietary automation solutions. The customers cover i.a. pharma, energy and supply. In this way, you directly contribute to supporting the sustainable transformation of Denmark's energy supply. The tasks range widely from the smaller ones that you solve in a day or two to the larger ones that you solve over months in close collaboration with both the customer and your colleagues. Here you are with all the way from design over programming to testing, commissioning and follow-up. Below, you must also be ready for more service-oriented tasks, where you are working hands-on on the customer's system. You can look forward to joining a strong team with an informal tone, well-functioning collaboration, and lots of good humor in the office in Skovlunde. Responsibility and freedom to plan is also a natural part of work life in ABB.
Your responsibilities
- Perform exciting project and service tasks within process automation
- Full project implementation from tender to commissioning
- Programming of process controllers (PLC) and configuration of SCADA systems (800xA)
- Documentation of the solution from design to test and installation
- Participate in ad hoc support when customers need you
- Support solid commissioning of projects with customers
Your background
- Training as an automation technologist, IT technologist, electrician, marine engineer, engineer or similar
- A structured and targeted form of work with the ability to oversee a complex and modularly constructed system
- Interest in automation and engineering
- Motivation to learn about IT virtualization environments - if you do not already know
