About the department
As IT System Manager you will be anchored in DMD Business Support, a staff function which consists of a diverse group handling everything from Finance, Project Portfolio Management, Training, cLEAN®, IT and Business Development.

The position
As IT system manager you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of several GxP critical IT systems located and used in DMD, as well as for the implementation of smaller IT projects.
You will be responsible for ensuring that the IT systems are in compliance with internal and external requirements (according to health authorities) to ensure the validated state. As an IT system manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of IT systems and participate in projects when new equipment needs to be implemented.
You will supervise the operation and maintenance of the IT systems and identify new requirements to the system. You will manage the expectations of system owners, end-users, quality assurance personnel and other key stakeholders concerning the use and operation of the IT systems. You will communicate and collaborate closely with the key stakeholders including follow-up on vendor deliverables and services according to agreements. Our local systems primarily span across laboratory systems and production systems.
By using best practices within IT compliance, you will focus on implementation of necessary changes to further optimize the computer system management in the area. On an ongoing basis, it will be your responsibility to systematically maintain documentation, ensure security patching, perform user reviews, drive life cycle management, etc.
Qualifications
You have a strong background within IT compliance, IT system management and IT system validation, preferably with experience from the pharmaceutical industry. Experience with hands-on project related implementation and validation is a plus. You have a relevant educational background e.g. Bachelor, Masters or equivalent combined with 5-10 years of working experience.
As a person you have a structured approach to challenges, you have a strong quality mind-set and you enjoy providing support within your area of expertise. You like working together with stakeholders of different professions, and it is natural for you to take lead on key improvement activities, as well as presenting and reporting the progress to management. You are thorough and find it natural to work independently. You are fully proficient in English. Knowledge of IT security is an advantage.
