As the largest and most experienced provider of digital infrastructure in Denmark, TDC NET delivers stable and future-proof connections in Denmark. We maintain the existing digital infrastructure, while investing in new technologies that enable us to expand and improve connections nationwide. Danish consumers are making increasing demands on the speed and range of the technologies and infrastructure, and we expect demand to continue to grow. For this reason, we are constantly working to expand our network throughout Denmark. We are the critical tdcnet enabler in achieving our company strategy. As from 1/1 2022 tdcnet is an independent company with its own IT function. We have just started the next phase of our exciting change journey. This phase will take 3-4 years and is as close to a greenfield building of a modern IT architecture and application portfolio as one can be in a 100+ year old major enterprise. The journey is necessary, complex with many development opportunities for the right candidates.
Your new role
We are looking for a tenacious change leader, who can make the consolidation towards lean, automated ITIL processes happen, based on BMC (Remedy) technology (from a currently fragmented base), and who will build a best in class IT-team for the area, working closely with process owners and support groups. The Head of ITIL tooling & CMDB (HITC) a key leader in the IT organization with overall responsibility to ensure that ITIL processes are implemented effectively in the BMC application suite. In this role, your key responsibilities will be:
- Build the migration & consolidation plan from a fragmented application setup towards a single, lean and highly automated, application suited based on BMC / Remedy
- Make the plan happen (all execution, risk mitigation and budget handling)
- Ensure the target applications are standing on a solid datamodel foundation
- Ensure both effective programme governance and ongoing governance with a complex stakeholder landscape (multiple process owners, many support groups and several CRM integrations)
- Build and manage a top of the class IT team to execute on the consolidation programme and manage the target applications effectively
The position is anchored in TDC NET IT and reporting to Executive Vice President & CIO, Joss Delissen (part of the TDC NET top management). In daily operation, the role will work closely with Joss, other members of the IT leadership team and business process owners and other stakeholders, with a high level of responsibility and autonomy.
What you’ll need to succeed
The HITC role requires a senior leader with proven track record in managing a consolidation and change programme with the full ITIL scope. The ideal candidate will bring knowledge and concrete learnings from similar programs. We need a manager who lives change, is tenacious in pursuing simplification and automation and has top range influencing skills engaging with peers to realize the maximum potential. As an ideal candidate for the role, you have the following:
- University educated to master’s level or above with focus on IT enabled business transformation
- 5-10 years of professional experience dealing with ITIL applications and consolidations (ideally with ~3 years of experience from similar role)
- Track record of completing similar activities in complex environments
- Good working knowledge of ITSM tools including but not limited to BMC Remedy (configuration knowledge preferable) and Service Now
- ITIL V3/V4 Certification (beyond foundation) or other ITIL certifications are a plus
- Ability to reduce complexity and communicate clearly
- Natural inclination to simplicity and pragmatism
- Natural flair for stakeholder management and relationship building (across business areas)
- Leadership qualities to motivate and engage a team of specialists
Candidates with lower qualifications, but demonstrable experience / capabilities will also be considered.
