Global IT User Productivity & Digital Foundation Infrastructure Delivery & Support
Vestas Global IT - Infrastructure Delivery & Support is looking for a Subjet Matter Expert (SME) to coordinate Vestas cybersecurity detect and respond capabilities. This is a new position in our Operations team, where you will be focal in ensuring that the Security Operations Center (SOC) has proper tools, processes and guidelines to follow.
Our new SME will work closely with our sourced Security Operations Center, internal Architects, Service Delivery Managers, and the Vestas business to ensure a safe and well monitored IT Operations in Vestas. This position as SME will represent the IT Security Operations Center towards Vestas’ business.
Infrastructure Delivery & Support ensures that business IT services and related solutions are appropriately delivered and optimised across their lifecycle, and that the security and integrity of IT solutions is safeguarded.
We are looking for you who can drive the day-to-day operations of the SOC by optimising their capabilities. To accomplish this, you will detect and respond to security threats by developing instructions and guides. You will coach SOC team members in how they recognise patterns via tools, monitoring and how they react correspondingly.

Ideally, you have experience from IT operations in a complex multi-vendor multi-national sourcing setup, and in-depth knowledge of current thread patterns and ability to keep up to date with what is current.
You are expected to bring your expert knowledge of security, recognition of thread patterns, mitigation of threats and handling of security incidents into play in both working with day-to-day Operation and ongoing maturing of how the existing SOC operates.

Responsibilities
As SME in IT Security Operations, your primary areas of responsibility are:
- PROACTIVELY lead work preventing security threats from occurring by securing implementation and maintenance of adequate instructions, tools, processes and guidelines for the team to operate
- Lead or participate in assessing thread patterns in collaboration with the SOC team. Actively seek cooperation with subject matter experts, other vendors and architects if needed
- Covering as first point of escalation for all security threats and incidents
- Contribute as necessary to ensure monitoring and assessment activities are adapted to changed services in operation or to changes in the surroundings
- Oversee continuous improvement and optimisation of ways of working and improvements of monitoring and support systems
- On a continuous basis analyse SOC performance data and implement corrections to tools, processes and instructions
- Ensure adoption and compliance to instructions
Qualifications
To succeed with the abovementioned responsibilities, this position requires that you have expert knowledge within Cyber Security. You probably have obtained your capabilities through:
- An educational background such as a bachelor's degree, combined with 3-5 years or more experience with IT Security, incl. experience with Security operations and incident response
We favour if you have a broad understanding of IT topics (not necessarily all):
- Network Security (ids/ips, firewalls, dns, encryption, proxy setup)
- Application and pentesting (nessus/tenable)
- Forensic analysis
- Coding practices
- Certifications: Comptia Sec+, GIAC, CISSP

- Good written and verbal communication skills with emphasis on producing instructions/guidance for a SOC team and presenting information in a structured and systematic form

- Collaborative team-player who can be both self-driven yet at the same time can convey your knowledge to our sourcing partners
- Solid coordination skills working with internal and external resources
- Relevant technical certifications
- The ability to multi-task in a fast-paced and demanding (multicultural) work environment
