As IT Security Operations Center Lead, you will be working in an international setting in protecting against key threats managing Ambu’s Security Operations Center (SOC) together with our vendor. You will be responsible for the oversight and vendor management for the SOC to ensure it is well-managed and operational efficiencies are maintained. You will work with multiple technology platforms and interfaces with other groups within IT security operations, IT security architecture, and other technology and business functions.

You will be part of Ambu’s Corporate Business IT, and day-to-day within IT Operations which operates the global infrastructure & cybersecurity setup at Ambu. You will work with a number of Ambu colleagues and our IT vendors on a day-to-day basis. Furthermore, you will be involved in on-going cybersecurity initiatives across Ambu’s IT organization.

As IT Security Operations Center Lead, you will be working in an international setting in protecting against key threats managing Ambu’s Security Operations Center (SOC) together with our vendor. You will be responsible for the oversight and vendor management for the SOC to ensure it is well-managed and operational efficiencies are maintained. You will work with multiple technology platforms and interfaces with other groups within IT security operations, IT security architecture, and other technology and business functions.
Areas of responsibility will include
- Closely engage with the vendor team to monitor for and respond to security events and be the anchor between SOC vendor and IT infrastructure outsourcing partner
- Plan and execute regular incident response and relevant exercises
- Coordinate and triage incidents and alerts, and manage escalations and response appropriately together with incident response leads and stakeholders
- Keep up with current threats in the market, evaluate and update SOC policies and procedures on an on-going basis
- Responsible and primary contact for the outsourced MDR and Vulnerability services, incl. improving and enhancing the MDR and Vulnerability services with the supplier
- Perform reviews of tracking against SLA's to ensure contractual obligations are met
- Work with vendor to ensure status updates are delivered and sufficiently described
Team

We believe the ideal candidate has the following competencies
- 5+ years of experience with information security monitoring and response or related experience
- Experience operating a security operations center (either from internal IT organization or vendor)
- Experience managing and coordinating between technical vendors
- Experience in managing crisis incidents and ensuring business continuity
- A solid understanding of IT security, security risk management, infrastructure security and tooling
- Practical experiences with SIEM and Vulnerability Management tools
- Familiarity with various IT / Security technologies e.g. DNS, DHCP, MS Exchange, Firewalls, VPN Gateways, IPS, Proxy, Endpoint Security etc.
- Understanding of NIST and/or ISO27K
- At least a Bachelor degree within IT, or comparable education.
- Experience working in a regulated industry is an advantage
- Fluency in English
