Would you like to work with process safety and technical integrity? And are you up for taking a key role in developing and enhancing tools and systems to identify and risk rank major integrity threats? Then this position in our Major Risks team might be your match!
You will join the Major Risks team in HSE - TotalEnergies DK’s (TEPDK) “Process Safety and Technical Integrity Authority”. In this team, you will support onshore and offshore operations throughout the lifecycle of a Field Development (from cradle to grave) ensuring the development and maintenance of fit for purpose programs and procedures that conform to company rules regarding process safety and technical integrity.
As the Lead Technical Safety Engineer, you will have an overall responsibility of providing functional leadership on technical safety aspects to both projects and assets. This is with the objective of achieving safety in design, safe operations preventing realization of major risks and ensuring compliance with both regulations and company rules.
Balancing between continued operation while maintaining safety for personnel and assets, you will cover both the operating installations (incl. over 50 offshore platforms) and major projects besides minor modifications to the existing facilities.

Balancing between continued operation while maintaining safety for personnel and assets, you will cover both the operating installations (incl. over 50 offshore platforms) and major projects besides minor modifications to the existing facilities.
In essence you can, among other, look forward to:
- Driving any necessary changes to the Major Risks policy and related strategies (e.g. hydrocarbon release prevention) to avoid recurrence of identified failures.
- Acting as the Technological Risk Assessment (TRA) coordinator and organize development of TRAs for all the operating assets of TEPDK.
- Performing quantitative risk assessment (QRA) for all installations within TEPDK as a complement to TRA.
- Facilitating risk reduction workshops for Major Risks.
- Validating the Major Risk Register (MRR) for each installation and communicate the MRR to key stakeholders.
- Providing guidance in reviewing and updating emergency response plans based on the top consequences associated with Major Risks.
- Reviewing and approval of the Operational Risk Assessments (ORAs) prepared in support of downgraded or impaired Safety & Environment Critical Elements (SECEs)
- Assisting assets by addressing their safety engineering concerns and issues arising from potential deviations from the design intentions or downgrade of the SECEs.
- Participating in incident investigations, as and when required.
