IT Security Engineer – Copenhagen or Luxembourg

To have an influence on the development of IT security and our exciting growth journey, we are looking to hire a new IT Security Engineer, who can reinforce our IT Operations team by delivering security services to all facets of the business.
You will be reporting to the Head of IT Operations and be a part of our growing Engineering department function supporting both IT Operations and architecture as well as the development teams and the information security officer in respect to the provision of security services in the entire Banking Circle organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement technical IT security services and solutions
- Maintain and improve the security posture of the core platforms
- Provide cyber security expertise in security solutions and architectures
- Implement and configure security controls and policies
- Automate security controls, data, and processes
- Developing strategies to respond to and recover from security breaches
- Lead and perform incident response to determine how the breach happened and minimize the impact
- Challenge status quo and maturing both processes and technology within the IT security field
Skills & Qualifications
To be the right candidate for this position, we expect you to have a demonstrated capability from an applicable role preferably within a regulated entity where you have a minimum of 3 years of experience. Alternatively, you have a master’s degree in IT security and an ambition to develop your competencies within this area.
You have the ability to multitask and thrive in fast-paced, high-stress situations whilst maintaining a keen view on details. We expect you to have expertise within cloud and platform security management, preferably Azure Cloud, anti-virus software, endpoint security, intrusion detection, firewalls and in designing secure networks, systems and application architectures. Furthermore, it would be beneficial to have concrete experience with threat detection and incident handling.
Dedicated experience with technical IT security services within penetration testing, vulnerability management, managed detect & respond, secure web gateways, as well as dedicated cloud security services in Azure and Microsoft Defender, will be considered an advantage. It would also be considered a plus with technical IT security related certifications as well as GIAC, SANS, CISM or CISSP certifications.
As a person, you are friendly and have an open-minded attitude. You should be responsible and take personal ownership of your tasks while also being a knowledge-sharing team-player with excellent communication skills in communicating security principles, issues and incidents to peers and management.
As Banking Circle is an international company it’s a requirement, that you are fluent in English, both verbally and in writing. If you master other relevant languages it will be an asset. The position will be based either at Banking Circle’s Headquarters in Luxembourg or the office in Copenhagen.
