Maersk Container Industry Denmark (MCI) is looking for an independent and self-driven Technical Support responsible for training and auditing of customers and service providers in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa regions (EMEA) for our Star Cool refrigeration container and cooling machines.
As Technical Support, you will be part of our EMEA Service Team which consists of 5 colleagues with a further 8 Service Team members in other regions around the globe.
We have strong local roots in Denmark but act on a truly global stage. Our headquarters are in Tinglev, close to the German/Danish border, however we have colleagues operating everywhere in the world. Working in MCI you will enjoy an international environment with an informal tone and a supportive atmosphere. Innovation and quality have a very high priority in everything we do
You will be part of the continuous development of our service network. Primarily, you will conduct trainings in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
Furthermore, your areas of responsibility will be:
• Conduct audits of our service providers.
• Register trainings, audits, and service meetings in our CRM system.
• Keep track and follow up on self-assessment results with service providers.
• Supporting R&D with insights regarding service when Star Cool and MCI products are being launched.
• Various tasks especially relating to supporting quality of our products.
Preferably, you have a background within electrical systems, refrigeration technology, or as (service) technician in marine related activities. Furthermore, you enjoy travelling a lot. However, you may be coming from a different background but have the right mindset. This position doesn’t require a specific career path.
Additionally,
• You have knowledge and practical experience of hardware and software technologies, preferably from the (reefer) container industry.
• Administration and documentation of tasks are a natural part of you daily work.
• You have a good understanding and use of Microsoft Office and Power BI.
On a personal level, you are self-driven, structured and a good team-player. You enjoy working across different functional areas and around the globe. You are naturally service-minded and motivated to go the extra mile to give your customers a good experience. You are not only willing to travel but will have a pleasant time working abroad 80 – 100 days a year.
You have strong written and verbal technical communication skills in English. French language skills are a plus but not mandatory.
This position is based in Tinglev (Denmark), while not traveling. For the right candidate we can offer to work remotely from the respective home, with a few days a week at our HQ.
