Technical Support Engineer for Medical Laser Company
Join a start-up bringing world-class laser innovation to dermatology
Advalight has developed a patented, multi-wavelength, medical laser system allowing dermatologists to treat a wide variety of skin abnormalities. The ADVATx® laser treatment system has been cleared for sale in Europe, Asia, and the US, and Advalight is now ramping up the production in 2019-2020. Due to this growth and to meet the service commitments and the customers, we are looking for a Technical Support Engineer (TSE) to strengthen the service and support function.
The role of the TSE is to contribute to establishing and operating the technical service and support function at Advalight and to ensure the success of a good distributor and customer interaction worldwide.

The role of the TSE is to contribute to establishing and operating the technical service and support function at Advalight and to ensure the success of a good distributor and customer interaction worldwide.
Job profile:
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), your tasks will be highly diversified and will include:
- Providing service and support to distributors and customers world-wide for hardware and software issues. Service issues are reported via e-mail or telephone.
- Handling the full support process: communication with the customer, first line support, fast troubleshooting, in-house and on-costumer-site repair, software updates, and service reporting
- Providing planned service at customer sites, primarily in Europe.
- Performing product service training to distributors world-wide.
- Taking part in the verification of new products and new software versions in cooperation with the R&D team
- You should expect 20-25 days of traveling per year worldwide.
Candidate profile:
Your qualifications should include a technical background and business understanding with a preference for system analysis or technical exposure
- An engineering degree or equivalent work experience required
- Hands-on experience with photonics and electronics
- Experience with technical customer service from a high-tech company
- Excellent technical oral and written skills in English
Furthermore, the ideal candidate would have experience with
- ISO 9001, 13485, or similar standards
- ERP systems (NAV)
- Technical Service of medical devices
