We are seeking a Systems Administrator to help maintain and improve our IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be proficient in both Linux and Windows server management, with a strong background in networking.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain Linux and Windows servers, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with the technical team to plan, implement, and maintain network infrastructure.
- Configure and optimize network hardware, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Implement and manage security measures to protect the organization's data and systems.
- Maintain documentation of system configurations and network architecture.
- Perform routine backups and disaster recovery planning.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies to make recommendations for system improvements.
- Given the size of the company, day to day workstation support is a must, including managing our Office 365.
- As part of the technical department, input on systems design with IP backbones will be a part of your daily routine as well.
Professional qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proficiency in Linux and Windows server administration.
- Strong understanding of networking principles and protocols.
- International mindset and the ability to work in a diverse, multicultural environment.
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Relevant certifications, such as CompTIA Network+ or Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), are a plus.
Additional Skills (beneficial):
- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Scripting and automation skills (e.g., Bash, PowerShell).
- Knowledge of containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Security certifications, such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
- Multilingual proficiency.
