Are you a lawyer with experience in the renewable energy sector, and do you want to be part of one of the fastest moving and changing business areas, i.e., renewable energy? Do you want to negotiate, advise on, and draft contracts concerning all phases in the life of a renewable energy project? Then perhaps you are our new colleague.
European Energy is an international company in rapid growth, with HQ in Denmark. We cover all phases of on- and offshore wind and photovoltaic (PV) solar projects, from greenfield development to construction, operation, divestment of assets, and Power-to-X. Our company of 450+ employees has since 2004 installed more than 2 GW of renewable energy and has a pipeline of 40+ GW. We operate globally and employ 30 different nationalities. Our goal is to be the most creative enabler in the green transition.
The legal department at European Energy consists of 12 lawyers. The legal department is an international team with a solid skill set within corporate law, construction law, real-property law, M&A, finance transactions, and commercial contracts. We advise the European Energy organization about all legal and contractual aspects related to the development, acquisition, financing, construction, and divestment of wind- and large-scale solar projects.
We are expanding our activities in Lithuania. Therefore, for our office in Vilnius, we are looking for a qualified and business-minded lawyer with experience in legal, regulatory, and contractual aspects of renewable energy projects and transactions.

Areas of Responsibility
- Advice on and draft contracts concerning the acquisition and divestment of wind- and solar projects, as well as partnership and joint venture agreements and commercial contracts related to renewable energy projects and the day-to-day business
- Advice on all legal, regulatory, and contractual aspects of the project development phase
- Conduct negotiations and handle legal processes and transactions
- Advice on specific project-related legal and contractual topics, including risk assessment and risk mitigation
- Develop innovative contractual and structural solutions to mitigate risk or solve problems
- Develop, build, and maintain relationships with the business and provide ongoing legal services to the business at a high level
Your Profile
- You have a university degree in law and are a qualified lawyer
- You have experience working with legal and contractual aspects of renewable energy projects and transactions
- You are skilled at handling complex commercial contracts
- You have excellent English and Lithuanian language skills
- You are thorough and analytical in the execution of your work
- You work well in teams and can work well together with all types of people regardless of their background
- You are good at building relationships
- You are pragmatic and have a solid commercial understanding of when a compromise is an advantage and when to stand up for the optimal solution
- You work independently and thrive with responsibility from day one
- You possess strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- You thrive working in a fast pace entrepreneurial company with speedy decision-making processes
