We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Contract Manager to join our team of 50 committed colleagues and contribute to the advancement of sustainable energy solutions through the development of a state-of-the-art PtX-plant – the first of its’ kind.
Your new role
The successful candidate will become part of a dedicated procurement team in our PtX-department and play an important role in ensuring contract and risk management activities are timely and accurately executed in close cooperation with the technical leads and project team protecting EE interests throughout the project lifecycle.

Your new role
The successful candidate will become part of a dedicated procurement team in our PtX-department and play an important role in ensuring contract and risk management activities are timely and accurately executed in close cooperation with the technical leads and project team protecting EE interests throughout the project lifecycle.
Your tasks will include:
- Contract management of complex high value contracts tier 1 as well as tier 2 supply contracts ensuring that all contractual deliverables are met in close cooperation with the technical lead and the project team.
- Structure and execute a contract management plan for each contract type based on risk exposure and complexity. Being the single point of contact for the supplier regarding all commercial matters, having regular meetings with suppliers closely following the progress and identifying risks and taking action to minimize impacts to the project.
- Ensures timely and accurate execution of commercial aspects for above contracts such as variation orders including cost assessment/control, payments, control of bank guarantees and ensure extensions if required, claim management including drafting, substantiation and negotiation of the claim and cost assessment - resolve commercial issues and drive escalation, if needed.
- Monitor and manage supplier performance and ensure constructive dialogues and cooperation. Develop and maintain good business relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders. Ensure that all internal and external stakeholders understand and adhere to contractual obligations.
- Prepare periodical reports on commercial and contractual status including forecast of costs.
- Verifies that all parties to the contract have fulfilled their contractual obligations and that no obligations are outstanding.
- Make contract assessment during and after execution and determine/register if there are any lessons learned for future contracting.
- Handling warranty claims during the warranty period for the above contracts.
- Assisting the O&M team in negotiating related service contracts when applicable and undertaking other procurement tasks in relation to the above contracts.
- The successful candidate will also be involved in the sourcing and planning work for future PtX projects.
Job prerequisites
- Min 10 years of experience with project procurement and Contract Management of complex contracts preferably from the energy sector (EPC projects).
- You are proficient in written and spoken English.
- Advanced skills in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, and preferably SharePoint and Dynamics.
