Are you a qualified lawyer with experience in labour & employment law? We are seeking a new colleague as soon as possible, who would be joining a department currently consisting of six lawyers. The department is responsible for labour and employment law concerning employees in Denmark, including negotiations of collective and local agreements and pay negotiations with local unions.

The department

The department is responsible for labour and employment law concerning employees in Denmark, including negotiations of collective and local agreements and pay negotiations with local unions. You will join a team of 6 skilled colleagues working out of our office in Bagsværd.

The job

You will negotiate with local unions in connection with personal cases and organisational adaptations, prepare presentations for management and advise on labour law at various management levels of the organisation. You must be able to communicate information about current statutory rules and regulations and collective agreements, e.g. by teaching labour law to managers at Novo Nordisk. Your job will also include handling warnings and terminations with due regard for the relevant rules and regulations. In addition, you will act, on an ad hoc basis, as a project manager for different projects.

Qualifications

You hold a law degree or a similar qualification and have knowledge of and/or experience in the collective bargaining system in Denmark and Danish labour market legislation. As our corporate language is English, you must – besides being fluent in Danish - have a good command of the English language. You have experience as a negotiator, e.g. from a business or other organisation. You are independent and able to see the broad perspective, and you have initiative and a positive attitude as well as a sense of humour and responsibility.
