Maersk Legal, a geographically decentralised organisation of 200 legal professionals, is undergoing a transformation to develop its operational capabilities through process improvement, digitisation and resource management to become a best-in-class legal department.

The successful candidate will work across the Maersk Legal organisation, interacting with senior stakeholders specialising in a variety of legal disciplines to identify, develop and execute Legal Operations solutions for the entire legal organisation.
Reporting to Head of Corporate Law & Special Projects you will help to define and drive strategic and operational initiatives with on-time and on-budget results.
You will identify opportunities to utilise Maersk Legal resources more efficiently and help develop and implement internal processes, policies and tools to streamline new and existing practices.
Other key tasks:
• Assist in identifying, selecting, implementing and supporting new legal technology solutions
• Help manage external vendors to optimize efficiency and reduce spend while ensuring quality in services
• Monitor external spend and manage internal reporting
• Help develop and support initiatives and tools to help drive continuous improvement and promote collaboration and knowledge sharing across Maersk Legal.
The ideal candidate will be highly motivated to explore innovative solutions, tech-savvy, well-organised and someone who follows through on initiatives.
Preferably you have experience with legal operations (but this is not a requirement) or otherwise from operational roles within other professional services such as consultancy, tax advisory or similar.
You have strong project management and execution skills (ability to move projects forward by gaining the support needed from others while working in a cross-functional role).
Furthermore you:
• Have experience with process mapping and process optimization
• Ideally have experience with knowledge management
• Have experience with Excel, SharePoint and O365 workflows
• Have strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
• Have enthusiasm and drive to succeed in progressing the Legal Operations agenda
• Have a strong instinct and curiosity for technology and digital solutions.
